Burmese Amber Jewelry
Amber needs gentle care. Careful cleaning, protection from heat and chemicals, and separate storage help reduce scratches and damage. Cleaning cannot establish authenticity or guarantee that a piece will never change over time.
Clean gently
For routine care, wipe amber with a soft, clean cloth. If needed, use lukewarm water and mild soap, then dry gently. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, steam, abrasive products and solvents.
Protect it while wearing and storing
Keep amber away from heat, prolonged strong light, perfumes and household chemicals. Store pieces separately in a soft pouch to reduce scratches. Avoid impacts and pulling on cords or settings.
Check the whole piece
Clasps, metalwork, stringing, adhesives and other gemstones can need different care. Ask a jeweler before wet-cleaning a mixed-material piece. Stop wearing it if a clasp, setting or cord is damaged, and arrange an inspection.
